Why Choose Grass Fed Whey

Most whey protein starts as a byproduct of commodity cheese production then heat-processed at high temperatures that can damage the very protein structures you're paying for. Progressive Grass Fed Whey starts differently: sourced exclusively from pasture-raised cows in New Zealand, where grass-fed dairy farming is a national standard, and cold-processed at low temperatures to preserve amino acid integrity and make it easier to digest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Progressive Grass Fed Whey a concentrate or an isolate?

Progressive Grass Fed Whey Protein contains whey protein concentrate. We do offer an Isolate alternative.

How much protein is in one scoop?

Each scoop of Progressive Grass Fed Whey provides 27 grams of protein, along with 3-4g of carbohydrates, 2g of sugar, and 2g of fat.

Where does the whey come from, and why does that matter?

Progressive Grass Fed Whey is sourced from pasture-raised cows in New Zealand, where grass-fed dairy farming is a national standard. The cows are raised without growth hormones or routine antibiotics, and the milk is cold-processed at low temperatures rather than high heat, which helps preserve protein and amino acid quality.

When should I take it, and how much do I need?

One scoop can be taken any time of day to support daily protein needs, or shortly after training to support muscle recovery. It mixes easily with water, milk, or a smoothie.

What does it taste like?

Because no artificial sweeteners or flavour-masking agents are used, Progressive Grass Fed Whey Protein has a cleaner, less sweet taste profile than heavily flavoured commodity proteins, most noticeably in the Unflavoured version, which reflects the natural taste of whey protein itself. Vanilla and Chocolate are lightly flavoured with natural flavouring to round out the taste without relying on artificial sweeteners.

Reviews

Unflavoured it ain't.

"Generally, when a nutritional powder is called "unflavoured" it means the stuff has no flavour. I bought the "unflavoured" version expecting this definition, but apparently here it actually means "not chocolate or vanilla flavoured". I now have 1700 gm ($118 CAD) of absolutely horrible tasting powder that I've yet to disguise successfully, and can't use as a simple additive as I can, say, with my collagen powder in my morning coffee. I really wish I'd bought the vanilla."

Thumbs up

"I purchased the vanilla whey protein bin. Taste is nice, ingredients seems to be clean. I hope the prices get lower. The prices for protein powders have vastly gone up! Overall good. Hope there are deals and coupons or draws for repeating customers. Cheers"

Scoop not included n bitter taste

"I bought unflavoured on healthy planet, but why it does not come with scoop. I dig using chopstick and knife, shake many times to double check but nothing. I dont have kitchen measuring scale with me, and this is very inconvenient. Other brands contain one for accurate measurement. I bought this thinking its better than other brands, but now i have to buy scale to use it? Checked many times but no scoop included. Also has bitter taste. I tried other unflavored protein from other brands before and theyre tastless, which i can add on any drinks. This one is different. I dont know if its just really bitter or spoiled. Wont buy again"
